That GEICO commercial is based on Sonic Adventure 2. Sonic was sent to prison island and is feeling sad. When his worst girlfriend, Amy Rose came in a jam, he told her that the reason his stuck in here is because of that fake hedgehog, Shadow, before Amy sets him free.
