GEICO (short for Government Employees Insurance Company) is an American insurance firm known for its various advertising campaigns produced since 1994 under The Martin Agency. It was through these campaigns that the company experienced an unprecedented level of success, rising from a position as the 8th most successful insurance company in 1994 with many potential customers unaware of the correct pronunciation of the company's name.
